If you keep your regular salon appointments, you may never have this problem. It is always easier when someone else is doing the blow drying for you.
If you find yourself needing to blow dry your own hair, follow these simple rules and you will be on your way to perfecting your blowout. Just remember that practice makes perfect.
You will need the following
- A professional blow dryer
- Clips
- comb
- comb attachment or paddle brush
- Styling serum or leave in conditioner (heat protector)
1. Towel off your hair slightly, just enough to stop the dripping
2. Separate your hair into sections.
3. Start blow drying at the top/roots, about two inches away from your scalp.
4. Always direct your air flow along the hair from roots to ends to ensure that the hair cuticles are sealed. Drying hair in opposite direction will cause the cuticle to appear rough. If you are using a comb attachment, make sure that you give the hair a slight pull as you blow dry each section.
5.Set your dryer to a medium heat and a high setting to prevent over drying your hair.
6. Leave your hair a little bit damp and Finish with a blast of cold air, to lock in shine.
